This is a simple project with so many possibilities for colors and text. It’s also a great way to re-use empty wine bottles (or a good excuse to drink some wine so you can craft with the empty bottle!).
What You’ll Need:
- 6 empty wine bottles, cleaned and dried
- Chalkboard Paint (I used Martha Stewart Crafts Chalkboard Paint in Grey)
- Permanent Vinyl (or letter sticks or paper or whatever you want to use for the text)
- Mod Podge Gloss
- Foam Brushes
With a foam brush and the chalkboard paint, paint all your bottles with 2 coats, allowing one hour drying time after the first coat. Then allow to dry for 24-48 hours.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the family letters, but as I mentioned you could cut them out with an exacto knife or even buy sticker letters.
Then I used some transfer tape to put the letters onto the wine bottles.
Finally, paint all the bottles with a coat of Mod Podge gloss and allow to fully dry before putting them on display!
