I know Washi Tape has been popular in the craft world this year but this was my first time using it. And now I totally get the addiction. Simple, fun, and oh-so-cute! I scored my Gift Tags, Washi Tape, and Baker’s Twine all from PickYourPlum.com recently. (You do know what Pick Your Plum is, right? Daily flash sales for crafty type stuff. Love. Love. LOVE.)
You just need a few simple supplies for these tags (links go to similar products on Amazon):
- Wooden Gift Tags
- Assorted Washi Tape
- Small Detail Scissors (I love these things. They come in handy all the time.)
- Bakers Twine
You pretty much just stick it on! I used a solid color in the middle so I could write names on the tags and varied it up by placing tape vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. Just leave a bit of excess tape and fold it over. I cut a small notch in excess tape near curves so it would fold over nicely. Then I simply poked the hole of the tag through the tape with the scissors tip (a pen tip would work well too). I left the back unfinished since I planned to secure them with regular tape to the packages. I used the bakers twine for the tags ties and on some packages. Super easy and a nice homemade touch to a gift!
