Vintage Lace Love Letter Decor

Vintage Lace Love Letters

I’m working on an über-romantic Valentine’s Mantle that includes subtly themed décor that I’ll be able to use around the house year round.  These letters are part of it and they were so easy to make.

What You’ll Need:

  • Paper Mache L-O-V-E letters (from Hobby Lobby)
  • Light Pink Paint (I used Martha’s Stewart’s Acrylic Paint in Pink Carnation and it’s the perfect vintage-y shade)
  • Lace Trim (mine is vintage lace passed down to me from my MIL)
  • Mod Podge
  • Foam Brushes

Start by painting your letters with two coats of the pink paint.  When dry, cut you lace into strips to encase parts of each letter as desired.  Brush both sides of lace with Mod Podge and apply to letters.  Paint another coat of Mod Podge over the lace to ensure it adheres well and allow to dry.
