I’ve had a bin of these pretty resin cabochons sitting in my craft supplies for months and finally figured out something simple and new to do with them (in a previous post I showed you how to make DIY Vintage Style Rings and Hair Pins with these). You can find these in abundance on Etsy in all kinds of styles.
The only additional items you’ll need to make are E6000 glue and clear push pins. I just squeeze a bit of the glue onto a paper plate, dip the end of the push pin in the glue and push on a cabochon. For the double layered flower, see the image below that shows a tiny cabochon which I placed onto of some of the flatter style larger pieces.
Then I just pushed them into an empty cereal box and allowed them to dry for several hours.
They look so cute on a cork board and they’d make a simple handmade gift idea for a teacher or friend starting a new job.
