DIY Marker Blending Palette
All you really need is a few basic supplies to whip up your own blending palette in 5 minutes or less!
I have and love the Tombow Blending Kit, but a lot of readers ask me what else they can use for blending, so here’s a super simple DIY version.
- White Cardstock (I used this one)
- Self-Laminating Sheets (Avery // Scotch)
- Scissors or Paper Trimmer
- Scraper or Credit Card
Self-laminating sheets ROCK. I use them for all kinds of projects (like DIY Bookmarks!) and I always have a set on hand.
Start by cutting your cardstock down to your desired palette size. I went ahead and made mine the same size as my Tombow one, which is 4″ x 6″.
Next, peel the backing off one of the self-laminating sheets and carefully apply the 4″ x 6″ cardstock to one end of the sheet. Then fold it in half, doing your best to avoid any bubbles. Use the scraper tool (or a credit card) to burnish the laminating sheet to the cardstock. I went around the edges several times to get a good seal. Finally, just trim off the excess laminating sheet and you’re ready to blend!
To clean, simply wipe with a damp paper towel, then dry.
