I love this sweet little Post-It note holder and it’s so easy to make. It would be a great teacher or co-worker gift or even make one for your own use! Whenever I’m low on inspiration for a project, I just go spend some time searching the Silhouette Design Store until a design inspires me. That was totally the case for this project!
What You’ll Need:
- Silhouette CAMEO or Portrait
- Patterned Scrapbook Paper
- Post-It Note Hanger Design
- Spray Adhesive
- Thin Elastic (I used ¼”)
- Hot Glue Gun
- Post-It Note Pad
Start by cutting out the main base of the design on card stock. Then cut the top part of the holder using a patterned scrapbook paper
TIP: To cut these items on two different kinds of paper without using two pages in Silhouette Studio, simply select the one you do not want to cut and in the “Cut Settings” window click “no cut” and the red cut line fades as shown below. Then cut as normal and your machine will only cut the design with the thick red lines! To cut only the second shape, set the first to “no cut”. Select the second part of the design, click “cut”, and then send to Silhouette.
I used Spray Adhesive to attach the scrapbook paper to the base layer.
Then I cut 1.5″ strips of the elastic and hot glued them to the back as shown, so they’d hold the pen/marker.
Then just thread in a piece of ribbon at the top and add a pen/marker and Post-It pad.
So simple and so cute!
