Dear Coffee Hand Lettered Free SVG Cut File
This hand lettered cut file is for use with cutting machines like the Silhouette CAMEO or Cricut. The file is offered as in SVG, PNG, and .Studio3 formats.
Dear Coffee Hand Lettered Free SVG Cut File
It’s no secret that coffee is one of my favorite things in life. I share this design as a photo on Instagram a while back and decided to turn it into a Cut File you can use with your Silhouette or Cricut machines. It would be so fun to use on a DIY Mug or Wood Signs. When you make your own mugs, you’ll want to use Permanent Vinyl like Oracal 651.
FAQ: What font is that?
I’m so flattered when people ask that, but it’s not a font. Unless otherwise noted, most of my designs are drawn by hand and digitized or done directly on my iPad Pro. This design was hand-lettered using my iPad Pro.

FAQS ON USING THE CUT FILES…
I’m getting an error message when I click the .Studio3 file and it won’t open.
Yep, that’s because your computer doesn’t know what program to use to open it. To open it, you need to open Silhouette Studio first. Then go to File>Open and select the file from your desktop (or wherever you saved the cut file). Voilá! It works!
How Do I Use the SVGs?
You will need the Designer Edition of the Silhouette Studio software to open an SVG file. You can get it on Amazon here. They sometimes have it as low as about $25 which is about half of retail and was available at the time this posted. If you have the Designer Edition of the software, here is a video tutorial on using SVGs.
How Do I Get the Designs into My Silhouette Studio?
Unless you’re buying from the Silhouette Design Store, designs won’t automatically download to Silhouette Studio. Whomp, Whomp. But don’t worry, it’s still easy to save them to your library! Here’s how:
- First, save the downloads to a folder on your desktop.
- Then, open Silhouette Studio.
- From within the software, Go to File>Open and select the design(s) you want to use.
- Once you have them open you can go to File>Save>Save to Library to save them in Silhouette Studio.
Happy creating!
Hi Dawn! I love your work 🙂 quick question, how do you take your iPad Pro designs and turn them into svgs that you can use on the cricut? Do you use a specific program? Thanks!
Hi Dru! Yes, I use Adobe Illustrator to create the SVG and DXF versions of the designs. 🙂
I’m a coffee addict and I love this freebie so much (and all of your hand lettering works too)! Thank you Dawn for this awesome freebie.
I just ran into your site…Let me thank you in advance for all the wonderful projects you have inspired me to make!! 😀
Thank you!!
I love this design. I’ve had a cricut for a few months now and was thinking of doing a craft show at my church. How much would the license be for this design? I’m not sure if anyone will buy it but I hope they do 🙂
Hi Julie! Licensing info can be found here: https://bydawnnicole.com/silhouette-design-license/. It says Silhouette but using it with a Cricut is a-ok too! 🙂
