Everyone knows that great conversation is an important part of healthy family relationships, but no one talks about how to START having those conversations. One of my favorite tools for starting fun conversations around the dinner table actually feels more like a game! This is a quick DIY tutorial for creating your own set of Dinner Table Talk Cards. These cards will make you laugh, think, and most importantly – talk! Let’s get started.
First, you’re going to print your Table Talk Cards. Click below to download the printable with over 100 great questions. I plan to laminate mine, so I printed them out on plain copy paper. If you don’t have access to a laminator, print them on card stock so they are a bit more sturdy. Cut the cards out using a rotary cutter or sharp scissors.
If you have access to a laminator, use 3 ml. pouches to laminate all of your cards.
Then cut them out and hole punch the corner.
Attach them together with a loose binder ring and you’re ready to have some great conversations. Just pull out your Table Talk Cards and ask a question or two around the dinner table each night.
