DND Lettering Styles Week 3: Nine Styles + Printables
The past few weeks, I’ve been focusing on one lettering style per day and using my “old school” paper and writing supplies. But my Momma and Step Dad have been here visiting us in Germany this week and it’s been nearly a year since we’ve been able to hug them in person. So I opted for lettering on my iPad this week and I packed nine styles into one piece.

I created a new hashtag for this project in which I’m focusing on creating and trying new lettering styles. If you want to join me, share your Lettering Styles work and be sure to use: #DNDletteringstyles over on Instagram. I’ll be featuring some of my faves! 👊🏻
This Week’s Styles
This is an overview of the nine simple styles! Since each style is pretty self-explanatory, I simply created printable versions of both the sample set of styles (shown below) and the final artwork.

Creating the Artwork
As I mentioned, I did this on my 12.9″ iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil in Procreate 4, largely using a monoline brush. I took a screenshot below to show you all the layers I typically use when creating a piece such as this.
Timelapse Video of Procreate Process
Here’s a time-lapse video I exported from Procreate of the entire process. It took me about two hours and this video shows the whole process in less than 60 seconds.
If you’d like to see a real-time tutorial on this or any of the lettering styles, let me know in the comments!
