Adding Wallpaper to my DreamBox was easier than I expected and the end result is so much fun!
With the tips I’m sharing in this post, it will be even easier for you because you can learn from my mistakes.
As an added bonus, this project cost less than $50 and only took me about 30 minutes to complete.
Project Supplies
- DreamBox. This isn’t included in the $50 budget, of course, but you obviously need it for this particular project. 🙂
- Peel and Stick Wallpaper. I chose this pretty Floral Wallpaper.

TIPS FOR How to Wallpaper Your DreamBox
First, you’ll want to choose a Peel and Stick Wallpaper. That part took me the longest. I knew I wanted to bring more color into my office, so I ultimately settled on this lovely Teal and Floral Watercolor paper.
I didn’t want to have to piece together the wallpaper, so I made sure to choose a roll long and wide enough for each door panel and the center of the DreamBox.
Just in case I messed anything up, I ordered three rolls but two were more than enough even with a gaffe.
Next, clean and dry the doors well so you don’t have any issues with the wallpaper sticking.
Then, carefully align the top of the wallpaper roll with the door, as shown above. I left a little overhang on each side and trimmed it later.
The soft-edged smoother is what you want to use to smooth and press the wallpaper into place. the soft edge prevents any ripping or tearing that you’d get with the hard-edged smoother.
The hard-edged smoothing tool was perfect to use along the edges to guide the knife as I trimmed off excess wallpaper. Doing both doors took me way less time than I expected!
Doing this middle section was a bit trickier. The above photo shows you how I folded down the table so I could best reach it. A stool was handy as well.
The first try was a fail and I had to pull the wallpaper back down.
The second time, I measured the space and trimmed the wallpaper to size first, leaving an extra inch length-wise and width-wise to trim. When you do this, keep the bottom edge of the wallpaper as it came from the manufacturer so it’s nice and straight!
I opted to turn the wallpaper sidewise to make it fit without having to piece anything together.
Originally, I had planned to cut the circle cord hole from the back, but it was easy to “score” it with my finger from the front of the DreamBox. Then, I just gently trimmed it with the knife.
Ta-da! So easy and cute!
The cleaning, purging and re-organizing part took me hours upon hours but here are a few pics of the end result.
DreamBox + DreamCart Photo Dump
As you scroll through, you’ll see my DreamBox open and closed and with and without the DreamCart (which gives me a ton of extra workspace but is folded up in the corner of my office when I’m not working).
You’ll also see Theo, one of my two doggies, sitting in my chair even though he’s way too big for it. 🤣💕
I’ll let the photos do the talking from here.
How about the way morning light spills into my office? It makes it a little easier to wake up and get to work!
