  2. Add weight. 
  3. Add color and refine.
  4. Add fun details and more color!

Pinky Promise Style Tips for Letter F

  • Pattern Ideas for Letter F. The tall shape of the letter F makes it a great choice for bold, repeating patterns. Try filling the letter with polka dots, checkerboard squares, stripes, tiny hearts, stars, or stitched details. Because the letter has long straight edges, geometric patterns like checkerboards create a clean, playful look that’s easy to customize.
  • Heart Placement Ideas. The letter F doesn’t have an enclosed counter, so hearts work best as accent details. Add a small heart to the end of one of the horizontal bars, tuck a heart into the inside corner where the bars meet the stem, or scatter tiny hearts around the letter as decorative doodles. A single heart can add just the right amount of sweetness without distracting from the bold shape.
  • Decorative Outline Ideas. A colorful outline helps the simple shape of the letter F stand out. Try a thick sticker-style border, a double outline, a stitched edge, or a soft drop shadow to add dimension. Layering two or three colors behind the letter creates a fun, retro-inspired effect that fits perfectly with the Pinky Promise style.
  • Doodle Ideas. Keep the surrounding doodles simple to complement the clean lines of the letter F. Add sparkles, stars, swirls, tiny flowers, bows, hearts, or scattered dots to fill the empty space around the letter. These playful embellishments help create a balanced composition while adding extra personality.
  • Alternate Letter F Ideas. Once you’ve drawn the basic Pinky Promise letter F, try experimenting with different decorative combinations. Create a polka-dot F with a sticker outline, a checkerboard F with a layered drop shadow, a striped F accented with tiny hearts, or a floral F with sparkles and doodles.

How to Download & OPEN Files

Each post of this series will feature a set of free worksheets. Here’s how to download the files.

If you’re using a computer:

  1. Download the ZIP file.
  2. Double-click the ZIP file to unzip it, which creates a standard folder containing the files.
  3. Open the folder, then locate the .procreate file and/or the PDF.
  4. Send to your iPad using AirDrop, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or email.
  5. On your iPad, tap the file and select “Open in Procreate” to open the Procreate file, or tap the PDF to open it in your preferred app.

If you’re doing it directly on your iPad:

  1. Download the ZIP file and open the Files app.
  2. Go to your Downloads folder or the location where you saved it.
  3. Tap the ZIP file once. The iPad will automatically unzip it into a new folder.
  4. Open the new folder and tap the .procreate file.
  5. Tap Share → Open in Procreate (or it may open automatically)

You look like the Fourth of July ❤️🇺🇸💙

Slow mornings, sweet thoughts, strawberry skies. 🍓✨ Who else is so ready for summer?

I’ve been a bit MIA around here lately because life decided to hand us a completely unexpected adventure. We spontaneously moved into a new-to-us 70s A-frame on a large pond and a bit over 3 acres of land, all somehow within our school district.

It was an “as is” sale. Over 200 people attended the open house, and there were 8 offers. We genuinely never expected to get it, but somehow, we did. And now we’ve been here almost a month already, completely in love with this quirky little dream house.

Since then, it’s basically been nonstop unpacking, organizing, painting, and trying to survive the steady stream of contractors and projects. And let me tell you, painting heavily textured 70s walls deserves its own Olympic event. Most days, I’ve gotten well over 20k steps! 😅

On top of all that, our oldest graduates from high school next week, which honestly feels impossible, emotional, and exciting all at once. So things have been just a tiny bit chaotic over here lately.

But even in the middle of all the boxes and paint rollers, I’ve still been creating tons of free lettering content over on the blog and YouTube. Over the past few months, I’ve shared:
