STYLE ELEMENTS
Watch the video for more details, but here are a few main style features of this letter.
- Slab Serifs (bracketed). Check out the graphic below for some common serif styles. I include this image each week in case anyone new joins this ongoing series.
- Moderate-Contrast Stroke Width Variation. This means some letter strokes are thin, and some are thick, but the variation between the two is moderate. We did a high-contrast style with the letter A last week.
- Above Waistline Center. The middle of the letter B should sit just above the center line. In lettering terminology, we call this the waistline of the letter B.
