Isn’t the centerpiece gorgeous? My grandma saw the idea to use a purple cabbage as a vase for flowers in Country Living. I added cranberries and pine cones to the bowl (which I got in the clearance section at WalMart for $10!). I just hollowed out a hole in the cabbage and place a small cup of water inside and arranged fresh flowers in it.
The bamboo runner is two put together because the table is so long. These were $8 each at WalMart. We actually have about 12 adults but I don’t have enough “real” table settings for everyone so this is just for show. I plan to use paper plates for easy clean-up!
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut our the leaves and hand-wrote names on them for place settings.
The little jars are Bonne Maman jam jars I’ve been saving. I simply hot glued pleated white ribbon and brown ribbon around them and then tied on 100% Sisal Twine in a bow. I added a candle and filled them with popcorn kernels.
And that’s it. A simple, pretty tablescape for around $40.
