Easy Wintery Lettering in Procreate
If you’re looking to add a touch of winter magic to your lettering, this easy Procreate tutorial is the perfect place to start.
In the step-by-step video, I’ll walk you through how to create cozy, frosted letters that feel straight out of a snowy day. You can also grab the icy color palette I’m using as a free download.
Grab your iPad, open Procreate, and let’s bring some icy charm to your artwork!
Project Supply List
- iPad, Apple Pencil, and the Procreate App.. This is the magic trio for all iPad Lettering!
- Procreate Brushes. The exact ones I use in the video tutorial are listed below.
- Monoline Brush.. Any monoline will do. I used one from my Dawn Nicole Original Procreate Brush Set.
- Glass Texture Brush. I used Crackled Glass 4 from my Stained Glass Brush Kit. I tested a ton of options, and this one is perfect for creating a frozen, icy look in seconds!
- Textured Brush. I used the LYLAS brush from my Besties Brush Kit. You can get this set free when you sign up for my newsletter.
- Bubbly Lettering Style. I’m using letters from my Milk Pop Lettering Style Workbook.
- Icy Color Palette. You can use any palette you like, of course, but if you want to use the same one I’m using, you can download it for free with the button below.

This video tutorial is just shy of 30 minutes long. We’ll use a short word (ice) and bubbly lettering to keep it easy. It’s friendly for both newbies and intermediate Procreate users!
