Golf ⛳️💕💚 It’s my other favorite hobby besides lettering and reading. And I have the weird tan lines to prove it. 🤣
This year we joined a weekly match play league, and it has definitely pushed me outside my introverted comfort zone. A couple of weeks ago, my husband was in Japan for work, and I ended up playing with three strangers. I was nervous all day leading up to it, but I went anyway and had such a great time. There’s something incredibly rewarding about doing something that feels hard or uncomfortable and realizing you can handle it.
I wasn’t athletic growing up, so I never expected to love a sport this much. But the more I play, the more I realize golf and lettering have a lot in common. Both require patience, practice, and plenty of repetition to build muscle memory. You’re always learning, always refining your skills, and always finding new ways to improve.
And just like lettering, progress is definitely not linear. 😜

Slow mornings, sweet thoughts, strawberry skies. 🍓✨ Who else is so ready for summer?
I’ve been a bit MIA around here lately because life decided to hand us a completely unexpected adventure. We spontaneously moved into a new-to-us 70s A-frame on a large pond and a bit over 3 acres of land, all somehow within our school district.
It was an “as is” sale. Over 200 people attended the open house, and there were 8 offers. We genuinely never expected to get it, but somehow, we did. And now we’ve been here almost a month already, completely in love with this quirky little dream house.
Since then, it’s basically been nonstop unpacking, organizing, painting, and trying to survive the steady stream of contractors and projects. And let me tell you, painting heavily textured 70s walls deserves its own Olympic event. Most days, I’ve gotten well over 20k steps! 😅
On top of all that, our oldest graduates from high school next week, which honestly feels impossible, emotional, and exciting all at once. So things have been just a tiny bit chaotic over here lately.
But even in the middle of all the boxes and paint rollers, I’ve still been creating tons of free lettering content over on the blog and YouTube. Over the past few months, I’ve shared:
