Lettering Tools

All you really need is paper and a writing tool, but here are some of my personal favorites

For Monoline & Cursive: any pencil, felt tip, or ballpoint pen will do. Want to be fancy? Try a glass dip pen and ink.
Basic Hand Lettering: Blackwing Pencils are my ultimate favorite.
Brush Lettering: The Tombow Fudenosuke pens are ideal for beginners. They come in a hard and soft flexibility option. I’d start with the soft and move to the hard once you’re more intermediate.
For Digital Lettering: I love the iPad, Procreate App, and Apple Pencil. Nothing else on the market compares!
