How to Download & OPEN Files

If you’re using a computer:

Download the ZIP file.
Double-click the ZIP file to unzip it. This creates a standard folder containing the files.
Open the folder, then locate the .procreate file and/or the PDF.
Send to your iPad using AirDrop, iCloud Drive, Dropbox, or email.
On your iPad, tap the file and select “Open in Procreate” to open the Procreate file, or open the PDF in your preferred app.

If you’re doing it directly on your iPad:

Download the ZIP file and open the Files app.
Go to your Downloads folder or the location you saved it.
Tap the ZIP file once. The iPad will automatically unzip it into a new folder.
Open the new folder and tap the .procreate file.
Tap Share → Open in Procreate (or it may open automatically).

Uppercase G: Keep the inner counter open. A tight inner space makes the letter feel muddy at small sizes.
Lowercase g: For the double-story g, make the lower loop larger. It carries the visual weight.

How to Draw the Letter G: Quick Steps

Sans Serif: Draw your letter frame, and then add weight.
Serif: Draw your letter frame, add weight, and finally, add the serif style of your choice.
Script: Draw your letter frame and add weight to the downstrokes. You can make your upstrokes thicker as well, but the downstrokes should always be thicker by comparison.

FAQ: Letter G

Is the letter G hard to hand-letter?
Uppercase G feels more complicated than it is. It’s a letter C with some extra details. The lowercase one is a bit trickier, but my tips will help with that!

What style should beginners start with?
Monoline and Sans Serif styles are the simplest, so I recommend starting with whichever feels less stressful to you.

Can I practice this without Procreate?
