Ready to learn a fun new lettering style? Dear Reader is a calligraphic look that mixes classic charm with a modern twist. Think graceful strokes, subtle serifs, and lots of personality.
These free printable lettering worksheets let you practice out the Dear Reader lettering style from my newly released third book, The Bibliophile’s Coloring & Lettering Book. A big thank you to my publisher, Better Day Books, for allowing me to share a lettering style from the book as a freebie!
Just download, print, and trace to get a feel for the flow of each letter. I’ve also included a Procreate-format file for digital practice. It’s a creative, no-stress way to relax, learn, and grow your lettering skills.

Lettering Tips
- You can practice on paper or digitally. I recommend doing a bit of both if you have an iPad. It’s great for improving muscle memory!
- Do the worksheets multiple times using different types of brush pens, nib pens, Procreate Brushes, etc.
- Use this style for journal headers, handmade greeting cards, place cards, envelope art, and more.
- Vibe out! Put on your favorite music, light a candle with a cozy scent, and tune out the world while you practice.
- For the digital worksheets, the brushes from my Original Brush Set are ideal.

💡 Tip: Practice slowly and focus on smooth strokes and flow rather than speed. Repeat each letter several times, then try writing it in simple words. Daily short sessions are more effective than occasional long ones for building cursive handwriting skills.
