Importing a Color Palette into Procreate

Color palettes created specifically for Procreate are in a .swatches file format. 

  1. Download the .swatches or .zip file color palette onto your iPad.
  2. If the file is zipped, uncompress it first. To do this, open the Files app, then find the .zip file you want to uncompress. Tap the .zip file. A folder containing the .swatches file will be created.
  3. Open Procreate and select the Palettes tab.
  4. Tap the + in the corner. Select the New from file option and locate your .swatches file. 
  5. Tap the .swatches file. It will now appear in your color palettes.

Noteworthy

  • If you download the Color Palette on a MacBook, you can AirDrop it to your iPad, which should automatically install in your Procreate Palettes. This is how I typically do it. It’s ultra-easy!

Slow mornings, sweet thoughts, strawberry skies. 🍓✨ Who else is so ready for summer?

I’ve been a bit MIA around here lately because life decided to hand us a completely unexpected adventure. We spontaneously moved into a new-to-us 70s A-frame on a large pond and a bit over 3 acres of land, all somehow within our school district.

It was an “as is” sale. Over 200 people attended the open house, and there were 8 offers. We genuinely never expected to get it, but somehow, we did. And now we’ve been here almost a month already, completely in love with this quirky little dream house.

Since then, it’s basically been nonstop unpacking, organizing, painting, and trying to survive the steady stream of contractors and projects. And let me tell you, painting heavily textured 70s walls deserves its own Olympic event. Most days, I’ve gotten well over 20k steps! 😅

On top of all that, our oldest graduates from high school next week, which honestly feels impossible, emotional, and exciting all at once. So things have been just a tiny bit chaotic over here lately.

But even in the middle of all the boxes and paint rollers, I’ve still been creating tons of free lettering content over on the blog and YouTube. Over the past few months, I’ve shared:
